Dentio at Google Cloud Summit Nordics Startup Day 2026

Last week, Dentio's co-founder Lukas Sjögren joined the AI Startup Panel at Google Cloud Summit Nordics Startup Day in Stockholm. The panel, titled Building in the AI Era, brought together founders navigating the journey from prototype to production, sharing real stories from building AI products in competitive markets.

    About the event

Moderated by Naya Amjadi, Startup Account Executive at Google Cloud, the panel featured Hector Zarate, Chief Technology Officer at Tab, Mo Elkhidir, Co-Founder at Epiminds, and Lukas Sjögren, Co-Founder at Dentio.

The conversation covered what it actually takes to build an AI startup today: the opportunities, the challenges and the hard lessons that do not always make it into pitch decks. Founders talked about how to find product-market fit, how to stay close to the problem you are solving and why deep industry knowledge matters more than most people expect.

Lukas shared Dentio's story: how a long-standing documentation problem in the dental industry became the foundation for an AI-assisted intelligence layer now used by over 100 dental clinics every day, and is changing the mind of modern dental care.

Why industry knowledge matters for AI startups

One of the most recurring themes in the panel was this: AI startups that succeed are the ones that understand their industry from the inside.

Building a product that works in practice, not just in theory, requires staying close to the people using it.

For Dentio, that has meant building side-by-side with dentists and clinics from day one. Every feature we ship has been shaped by the people doing the work, not by assumptions made from a distance.

    Looking ahead

We are grateful to Google Cloud for hosting such an inspiring event and for having us as part of the conversation. To everyone who came up to talk after the panel, thank you. Those conversations remind us why this work matters.

We are looking forward to the next one!
