    Accessibility Statement

We are a small team and we want Dentio to be usable for as many people as possible. This page describes how we work on accessibility, what we know about remaining gaps, and how to contact us if you run into problems.

    Scope of this statement

This statement covers two digital surfaces operated by Dentio AB:

    • The website at dentio.com – public marketing pages, regulatory pages (MDR, IFU, Product Label, Vigilance), blog, and contact forms.
    • The web app Dentio Practice Automation System at app.dentio.com – the authenticated clinical tool for licensed dental professionals.

The web app is a B2B medical device intended for licensed clinicians, which we believe places it outside the consumer-services scope of EU Directive 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act). We publish this statement voluntarily nonetheless.

    How we test accessibility

We do not currently make a formal conformance claim against WCAG 2.1 AA or EN 301 549. We use the following methods on a continuous basis:

    • Keyboard navigation and focus order are checked on major design changes,
    • Spot checks with screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows) on selected flows,
    • Automated tooling (Lighthouse and axe DevTools) runs as part of the development workflow,
    • Contrast and responsiveness are tracked in design reviews.

An independent accessibility audit covering both the website and the web app is planned. We will publish the results here when the audit is complete.

    Website – known limitations

We are aware that the following areas need more work on dentio.com:

    • Some illustrative screenshots and animations on the home page lack complete alt text,
    • Some contrast ratios in hero-section overlay text may sit near but not clearly above the WCAG threshold on smaller screen sizes,
    • Complex tables on the regulatory pages (MDR, Product Label) are not fully optimised for screen readers in the mobile view,
    • Embedded videos (where used) lack transcripts in Swedish.

    Web app – known limitations

The web app is validated against the use environment described in the Instructions for Use: desktop or laptop computer, modern browser, minimum screen resolution 1440 × 900. It is not validated for mobile phone, tablet, or remote-desktop use.

We are aware of the following limitations in the current release (v1.7.0):

    • Core workflows depend on voice recording. Users who cannot speak, or whose speech is not reliably captured, get limited value from the voice-based flows. Manual free-text entry and PDF upload are offered as alternatives.
    • Visual uncertainty markers in AI-generated content (shown with a "?") are not always paired with a separate textual cue for screen readers.
    • Some custom components (calendar, template picker, odontogram) have incomplete screen-reader support and keyboard navigation is being improved iteratively.
    • Keyboard shortcuts are not fully documented in the in-app help.

The web app's clinical content is supported in Swedish only. The interface is also available in English, Norwegian, and Finnish, but the only clinically supported language is Swedish.

    Supervision

In Sweden, the Agency for Digital Government (DIGG) supervises public-sector compliance with the digital accessibility directive. Private operators such as Dentio are primarily covered by EU Directive 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act). You can contact DIGG if you feel that we are not handling your feedback acceptably: www.digg.se .
